Young Adult DBT Skills Group

Young Adult DBT Skills Group

Young Adult DBT Skills

Who: This group is for young adults between the ages of 18-35 who want to build skills for healthier functioning and increased satisfaction in life.

What:  Group members will learn about the modules of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and build skills in the areas of mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.

When: This group meets on Mondays from 4:30-6pm for 10 weeks. Next group begins June 21 - August 30, 2021. New groups begin quarterly.

Where: At this time, the Young Adult DBT Skills group will continue to meet virtually.

Why: DBT skills help individuals stay present, manage extreme emotions, improve relationships, and decrease behaviors that are having a negative impact in their lives. Learning and applying DBT skills can improve clients' relationships and overall sense of well-being.

How: If you are interested in participating in this group, please email Andrea Schroeder at aschroeder@sentiertherapy.com or 763-913-8261 to schedule an individual intake/group screening at least one week prior to the group starting date.

Group Facilitator: Andrea Schroeder, MS, LPCC

Fees: Group cost is $75 for the Intake session and per group meeting. Sliding fee available. Superbills are provided for all group members and are particularly helpful for those who would like to submit to HSA, flex accounts, or insurance providers for out-of-network reimbursement.
